Started out in high school - had one thing on my mind. 

Not really quite sure just what kind of boy I'd find.

Then it hit me all at once when I saw you walking by.

That's when the chase began when you looked me in the eyes.

Bringing out the America in Americans

Although I'm doing a terrible job keeping up with this blog, I think constantly about the things I should be writing. As I reflect on some of our greatest gigs, the one that comes to mind is when Miles Station, along with two great musicians from the Dynamite Cowboys, traveled to Kansas to help McConnell Air Force Base personnel celebrate the coming home of American airmen and women. What an honor! I met so many of those who serve, all of whom perform such important jobs that I'm overcome with a sense of pride, so grateful for those who have dedicated this time in their lives to devote to their country.  Reenlisting is NOT an option for me, as I've been told I'm too old. Trust me, it was extremely hard on my psyche, particularly my pride to be informed that I'm way too old to serve my country. I would have much rather heard I was out of shape. At least that's something I could fix!! ;-)

Fear – Fear is their only crime.

Fear – What do they have to lose?

Fear – When none of them get to choose.

I can see your feeble attempts.

I can feel the chill in your soul as I taste your contempt.

I can scream – how dare you, you monster.

I can publish your terrible lies.

I can persecute all your actions ‘til you’re paralyzed.

Fear – You make the innocent bleed.

Fear – It’s everything you like to spread.

Fear – but would they be better off dead…

I know why Angels cry

All you have to do is take a step outside

That fill our world

A crazy happiness in a different way

But they are sad, it’s clear to see.

That changing how we live is necessity.

School begins, the time is here

Let’s spread goodwill for the coming year
